Our history
IRANIXE, gestión y producción de arte contemporáneo, A.C. is a non-profit initiative, founded on 15 February 2013 by a group of cultural managers with the aim of promoting, disseminating, developing and producing artistic and cultural projects.
Our founding associate, Gorka Larrañaga, developed in 2013 the first project of IRANIXE, called Casa Galería, which was implemented in a house located in the town of Santa Úrsula. In this space, painting workshops, cultural management courses, exhibitions and other activities were held with the goal of involving and connecting the surrounding community with artists from Mexico City. The project ended in 2017.
After the success of the project, IRANIXE seeked to expand its work and began implementing cultural management into their activities in order to support projects and creators that wanted to improve their activities and actions. In 2018, Julián Monroy joined the IRANIXE board and assumed the presidency of the Association. Thanks to his experience in the field of cultural management and administration he initiated a process to update the operation and action plans of IRANIXE.
